Fitted in 21 days, made in London
Every piece of Metro fitted furniture is designed in your home, made in our own workshop in Wembley, North London, and installed by our own employed fitters, usually within 21 days of your order being confirmed. Larger or more complex projects can take longer, and we tell you the date before you confirm. One company, one building, one team from the first measurement to the last door adjustment, and a 10-year guarantee on all of it.
The 21 days start the day you confirm the order, not the day you first enquire. In that time your drawings go to the factory, every panel is cut, edged and finished to the measurements taken in your room, the whole job is checked before it leaves the building, and our fitters install it, usually in one to two days on site. Because the showroom, the factory and the fitting team share one address at Hallmark Trading Estate, HA9 0LB, there is no importer, no distributor and no subcontractor between you and the people who make your furniture.
The 21 days, and when it takes longer. Twenty-one days is what most projects take: a wardrobe, a pair of alcoves, a media wall, a single room. A whole house, a kitchen with appliances and a stone worktop, glass or mirror doors from our glazier, a special-order finish, or a fitting date you ask us to move can all add time, and so can the Christmas shutdown and bank holidays, which are not counted. Your designer gives you a fitting date on the drawings before you confirm, and that date, not a headline number, is the promise. If anything changes on our side we tell you straight away and agree a new date with you.
This is how every room we make is produced, from fitted wardrobes and walk-in wardrobes to kitchens, media walls, home offices and the smaller pieces such as bedsides and dressing tables. It starts with a free home design visit, and you can see the furniture full size at our Wembley showroom first. Prices for each level of wardrobe are in the price guide.

One building:
showroom at the front, factory behind.
Made in London is not a slogan on our furniture; it is an address. Metro Kitchens & Bedrooms Limited, trading as Metro Home Interiors, makes every wardrobe, kitchen and media wall at Unit 29, Hallmark Trading Estate, Wembley. The showroom is at the front of the same building, the factory is behind it, and the vans that bring your furniture leave from the same yard.
That single address is what makes 21 days possible. The designer who measured your room hands the drawings to a workshop fifty metres away, the beam saw and the CNC cut to those exact sizes, the edge-bander and the spray shop finish every visible edge, and the fitters who install it are our own employees who have seen the job on the floor before it goes on the van. Nothing is imported, and nothing is subcontracted.
Inside the factory
Made in Wembley, filmed on the floor
Two short clips from the workshop behind the showroom: a job being checked at the CNC machine, and a panel going through the edge bander. Phone footage, no styling, which is rather the point.
At the CNC
Hinge, shelf and rail positions are drilled by the CNC machine; the designer and the machinist check the job against the drawing together.
At the edge bander
Every visible edge is finished on the edge bander; a designer checks a panel before it goes through.
Six things that are true of every Metro piece.
From the first measurement to the last hinge adjustment, the work is done by us.
Designed in your home by our designer
The person who measures your room draws it, and the drawings are built from the sizes actually found: the sloping ceiling, the chimney breast, the skirting, the socket.
Cut on our own machines
A beam saw cuts each panel to its own size and optimises the board to cut waste; CNC and six-sided drilling machine every hinge, shelf and rail position, so doors hang true and shelves line through.
Finished in the same building
Industrial edge-banding finishes every edge a door leaves on show, and painted doors are sprayed in one batch in our own spray shop, so a bedside matches the wardrobe beside it.
Checked before it leaves
Every job is assembled and checked on the factory floor against the drawing before it goes on the van, which is why fitting days are short and callbacks are rare.
Fitted by our own employed team
Our fitters are Metro staff, not subcontractors. They scribe the furniture to your walls and ceiling, adjust every door and leave the room as they found it.
Guaranteed for 10 years
One guarantee from one company on the furniture we designed, made and installed, with your paint mix and handle codes kept on file for any matching piece later.
Where the 21 days go.
Counted from the day you confirm the order to the day the fitters hand over. Most projects fit this; larger or more complex ones are given a longer date before you confirm.
Fitting day, filmed on site
Days 19 to 21, as they happen
Three clips from our fitters: a bedroom transformed in a day, a mirror sliding wardrobe going up, and the last hour of a fitting with the handles going on.
Before and after
An empty bedroom to a fitted oak sliding wardrobe: the panels arrive, the carcasses go up, the doors go on. Filmed on site by our fitters.
Fitting a mirror sliding wardrobe
Level the floor, build the carcass, hang the mirrored doors. One fitting day, start to finish.
The last hour of a fitting day
Handles drilled and fixed, doors adjusted, and a cream shaker wardrobe with brass bars handed over.

Trusted by London homeowners
“Incredible piece of work in terms of design, quality build and installation. This is my second wardrobe from Metro, eventhough you feel it bit expensive but every penny worth it. Highly recommend.”
“Highly recommend them! Their service and products are excellent, and the staff is always professional and knowledgeable. Our designer, Nassy, visited our house and took measurements. We later met her at their showroom, where we were able to see the quality of the material and choose the colours. Nassy also sent us a 3D render of what the wardrobe would look like, which helped us visualize the end product. The fitting team was a delight! They made sure we were happy with the end result and left the apartment immaculately clean. We're looking forward to Metro working on our other bedroom furniture!”
“I had a bespoke wardrobe built by Metro Wardrobes and I'm thrilled with the finished product - from the design through to the quality of materials and the workmanship. I am not easily pleased but I wholeheartedly recommend this company.”
Questions people ask about the 21 days and the factory.
On the day you confirm the order and pay the deposit, after you have approved the 3D design and the fixed price. The free home visit, the design and any revisions happen before that and are not counted, so a project can take longer from first enquiry to fitted if you take your time over the design.
Yes. It is made at Unit 29, Hallmark Trading Estate, Fourth Way, Wembley HA9 0LB, by Metro Kitchens & Bedrooms Limited, the company behind Metro Home Interiors. The showroom is at the front of the same building. You are welcome to visit and see the workshop behind it.
Our own employed installation team, not subcontractors. They work from the same building the furniture is made in and have seen the job assembled on the floor before it goes on the van. Most installations take one to two days.
Twenty-one days is what most projects take, and it is the date we work to. It is not a fixed guarantee for every project: the size and complexity of the job, a stone worktop, glazing, a special-order finish or a change of date on your side can all add time, and holidays are not counted. What is fixed is the fitting date your designer writes on the drawings before you confirm. If we cannot meet it we tell you as soon as we know and agree a new date with you.
Sometimes. A single wardrobe or a pair of bedsides can often be fitted in two weeks when the factory has capacity, and your designer will say so before you confirm. We would rather promise 21 days and fit in 14 than the other way round.
A whole-house order, a stone worktop that is templated after the cabinets are fitted, a glass or mirror order from our glazier, or a fitting date you ask us to move. Each of these is agreed with you before you confirm, so the date on the order is the date you get.
The fitters arrive at the agreed time with everything on one van. They protect the floor, fix the carcasses to the wall, scribe the furniture to the ceiling and the skirting, hang and adjust the doors, wire the lighting and clean up. At the end they walk the job with you and hand over the 10-year guarantee.
No. Design, manufacture and installation are all done by Metro staff. Where a job needs a plumber or an electrician, for a laundry room or a media wall socket, we tell you what is needed on the drawings and you use your own trades or ours.
Ten years on every piece we design, make and install: the carcasses, the doors, the hinges, the runners and the installation. Your paint mix and handle codes stay on file, so a matching piece years later is an exact match.

Yes, by appointment. The showroom is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm, and Saturday, 9.30am to 3pm. The workshop is behind it. Seeing a job on the floor is the best way to judge the quality before you order.
