Fitted Wardrobes
The most common job we do in N1. Ten ranges across hinged, sliding, and walk-in builds. Every unit is cut to the room's actual dimensions and delivered in sections small enough for a Georgian staircase. Where original cornicing exists, the wardrobe stops below it with a clean shadow gap.

Fitted Kitchens
We started as a wardrobe specialist. Kitchens followed naturally. A big share of our N1 kitchen work happens in Victorian galleys being opened up, and in canal-side conversions where the cabinetry has to slot in around immovable services. We build the cabinetry. You choose worktops, appliances, and splashbacks.

Living & Media Walls
A category that's grown a lot since 2020. Media walls in living rooms, home offices in reception rooms, alcove cabinets flanking original fireplaces, full bedroom suites. Most of these come up as a second project once the wardrobes are in.

The Angel's housing has recurring quirks. Here is how our workshop handles each on a N1 project.
Tall sash windows and shutters have to stay clear.
A The Angel bedroom is usually built around a tall sash window, sometimes with the original shutters still boxed into the reveal. A standard wardrobe along that wall covers the shutter box or fouls the sash.
We build the wall as one integrated run: floor-to-ceiling wardrobes tight to each side wall, scribed to stop at the shutter box, with a low fitted drawer-and-seat unit under the window between them.
No two chimney-breast alcoves are the same width.
Almost every The Angel terrace has a chimney breast in the principal bedroom with an alcove either side, and the two are never equal. A single standard carcase for both leaves gaps and filler strips.
Each alcove is templated on its own and filled floor-to-ceiling, wall to chimney breast. Two different carcases that read as a balanced pair.
Lower-ground conversions lose height and gain a damp wall.
Many The Angel houses are split into flats, and the lower-ground garden flat has reduced ceiling height around 2.3m and an external wall that can carry damp. An off-the-shelf wardrobe is the wrong height and traps moisture.
We build wall-to-wall and to the real 2.3m height, with a ventilated back so air moves behind the cabinets, scribing the run around any vault recess and shelving it out as storage. Terrace bedroom with tall sash and shutters
The situation: A couple near Duncan Terrace with original shutters they wanted kept. A chain quote would have boarded over the shutter box.
What they got: Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes either side of the sash, scribed to the shutter box, with a fitted drawer-and-seat run under the window. Shutters still fold, sash still slides.
Back bedroom with unequal chimney alcoves
The situation: Owners who had been told both alcoves were the same size when they clearly were not.
What they got: Each alcove templated separately and filled floor-to-ceiling under the picture rail. Two carcases that read as a matched pair.
Lower-ground garden flat with a low ceiling
The situation: A garden flat with a 2.3m ceiling and a slightly damp front wall by the vault.
What they got: A wall-to-wall run built to 2.3m with a ventilated back, scribed around the vault and shelving it out. No trapped damp, no wasted corners.
Period conversion needing a compact dressing area
The situation: A one-bed conversion where the bedroom had an awkward return beside the chimney.
What they got: A fitted run turning the corner around the chimney return, hanging plus drawers, hand-painted to match the period trim.
