Heritage Dressing Wall
A floor-to-ceiling wall of ivory in-frame panelled doors with brass knobs, drawn for a period bedroom that needed serious storage without losing its character.
Designed around how the room is really used.
Customer brief. The room needed substantial storage without losing its calm period character. The brief called for a fitted solution that felt refined, understated and sympathetic to the architecture, with a dressing area as part of the wall.
Metro solution. A wall-to-wall run of in-frame raised-panel doors in ivory matt with brass knobs, built on our Arabella design: 18mm wrapped MDF doors on 18mm carcasses, floor to ceiling and scribed to the cornice and skirting, with double and long hanging, shelving and internal drawers planned behind the doors and a dressing recess in the run.

In-frame raised panel doors
The raised centre panel and the framed edge throw a real shadow line, the proportion period rooms were drawn for, in a matt ivory that sits with original plasterwork.
Floor to ceiling, scribed in
The run goes to the ceiling and is scribed to the cornice, the skirting and an out-of-square wall on site, so nothing reads as a cupboard put against a wall.
Brass knobs, soft-close throughout
Solid brass knobs on every door, concealed soft-close hinges and soft-close drawer runners as standard.
Interior drawn to the wardrobe
Double hanging, long hanging, shelves and internal drawers laid out from an inventory of what the wardrobe has to hold, at an example width of 4.4 metres.
“The design gave us the storage we needed without making the bedroom feel smaller. It feels considered from every angle.”Client, Kensington
