Inside the sliding door
A sliding door is an assembly rather than a single board. An aluminium profile runs around the perimeter of an 18mm MFC panel — or a mirror — and grips it on all four sides, so the panel is held in a frame rather than hung from hinges. Behind the doors we build a 200mm-wide internal MFC panel frame, finished to match your carcass. That frame is the structural part: it carries the weight of the doors and holds the top and bottom tracks true across the full run, so the load goes into the wardrobe rather than into your wall. Each door runs on its own track, which is what lets them pass one another.

Oxford Mirror Sliding Wardrobe London
Cashmere sliding wardrobe with silver mirror sections.
About This Style
The Oxford Mirror Sliding Wardrobe is a made-to-measure sliding wardrobe designed to bring light into the bedroom. Cashmere panels are combined with silver mirror sections framed in slim silver profiles, so the wardrobe reflects the window and the room while keeping a soft, warm face rather than a wall of glass.
The twelve renders on this page show the same wardrobe in the twelve door layouts we offer: a full mirror door, Equal 2 and Equal 3 split doors, Central 300 and Central 400 bands, Top 400, Low 300 and Low 400 bands, Two 300 and Two 400 bands, and the Central Top and Low combination. Your designer draws the layout to your wall so the bands line up across every door.
Manufactured from premium 18mm MFC E1 Grade boards with silver mirror glass, the doors run on a soft-close sliding mechanism with anti-jump rollers, so they glide quietly and stop gently at the end of the track. The 200mm MFC supporting frame behind the doors carries their weight and is finished to match the carcass.
Inside, a Cashmere interior keeps the storage bright. The layout shown measures 2400mm wide, 2400mm high and 680mm deep, and the internal layout is planned around what you own: double and long hanging, adjustable shelves, soft-close drawers, shoe storage, accessory trays and optional LED lighting.
Every Oxford is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our Wembley, North London (HA9) workshop, then installed by our own team. From your free home design consultation to the finished fit, Metro Home Interiors manages every stage.
Backed by our 10-Year Parts and Labour Guarantee, the Oxford Mirror Sliding Wardrobe combines British manufacture, a soft, light-reflecting face and a fully bespoke interior in a wardrobe that suits both period and modern London bedrooms.

“I am delighted with our new wardrobes. The quality matched my expectations entirely. The installation was completed ahead of schedule, and the fitters were professional, pleasant and worked with real care.”
“Just got my new fitted wardrobe from these guys and I couldn't be happier! Starting from the design visit to the installation everything was so fast and easy - the designer, Ranto, came to my house and helped me come up with the perfect design that fit my storage needs. He sent me the 3d design on the same day and also, did the changes until I liked the design. Then the fitting team, led by Kinjal, came and installed it all in just a 2 days. I love how my new wardrobe looks - it's exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend Metro!”
“Excellent service from design consultation through to completion. Great value with superb quality fitted wardrobes. The designer - Nitesh - helped us maximise the available storage space without busting our budget. The crew led by Sandeep was very professional, meticulous in the build and left the house spotless. We selected the super matt finish which is a little bit more expensive but looks fantastic. Our bedroom is transformed in the best possible way.”
