About This Style

The Regents Park turns a recess or a small room into a walk-in wardrobe you can see into. A black aluminium-framed glass door closes the opening, and behind it a walnut interior runs round three walls: long and double hanging, open shelving, a bank of drawers and a rail for the day's outfit, with fitted cupboards either side of the door for the things that need a solid front.

How it works: the 20.5mm aluminium profile carries a full-height toughened glass panel on hinges engineered for metal frames, so the door is light to swing and the frame reads as a fine black line. The interior is finished as furniture on every visible face, with LED lighting under the shelves, because the glass door means it is always on view.

Make it yours: frames in matt black as shown, or brushed bronze, champagne, gold or silver; glazing clear, smoked or reeded; the interior in walnut, oak or a lacquered colour, laid out around what you own. Every carcass is cut to your room in our Wembley workshop.

Every walk-in is designed at a free home visit, made to measure in North London, and installed by our own fitters with a 10-year guarantee.

Glass Fitted Wardrobes London

A dressing room you can see into

The Regents Park is a walk-in wardrobe with a glass front. Where a solid door would hide the room, a single full-height panel of toughened glass in a black aluminium frame shows it: walnut hanging and shelving on three walls, drawers below, lighting under every shelf. From the bedroom it reads as a lit cabinet; step through and it is a dressing room.

How it works: a slim extruded aluminium frame, 20.5mm deep, holds the glass panel on a hinge made specifically for aluminium-framed doors, and the fitted cupboards either side hang on the same run. The interior is built and lit as visible furniture.

Designed around how you use your room

  • Full-height glass door onto the walk-in, as shown
  • Walnut interior shown; oak or lacquered to order
  • Long and double hanging, open shelving, drawers and an outfit rail
  • LED lighting under the shelves
  • Clear glass for display, smoked or reeded for privacy
  • Black, bronze, champagne, gold or silver frames

Built for everyday use: the glass is toughened and cleans with a glass cleaner; the walk-in floor and walls are finished so the space can be used, not just looked at. Soft-close hinges throughout.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

The frames are cut and mitred in our HA9 Wembley factory and glazed with toughened panels cut to each opening, so a wardrobe of odd widths gets frames that fit the recess rather than the recess being packed out to suit a stock door.

The interior is built as visible furniture, lit and finished on every face, and installed by our own fitters. It carries a 10-year parts and labour guarantee.

“Really pleased with our fitted bedroom furniture from Metro. The design and finish look great, the storage works well, and the installation team did a good job. A few small snagging points were handled very professionally. We’re very happy with the result and already thinking about our next project with them!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Glass fitted wardrobes: your questions answered

How much space does a walk-in need?
The Regents Park is drawn to a recess or a small room about 2 metres square; anything from a deep alcove upwards can take a version of it. The glass door needs no clearance inside the space, so every wall can carry storage.
Why a glass door on a walk-in?
A solid door hides the best-organised part of the bedroom. A glass door shows it, lets the interior lighting read from the room and makes a small bedroom feel larger. Smoked or reeded glass gives the same effect with less detail on show.
Is a glass door safe in a bedroom?
Yes. The panel is toughened glass, several times stronger than ordinary glass, and if it ever did break it crumbles into small blunt pieces rather than shards. The aluminium frame carries it on a hinge made for the weight.
Can the interior be changed?
Completely. Walnut is shown; oak and lacquered colours are made to order, and the mix of hanging, shelving and drawers is planned around your clothes at the design visit.
How much does the Regents Park cost?
From £6,480 including VAT, delivery and installation for a compact walk-in with a single glass door. The layout shown, with three fitted walls and cupboards either side, sits above that. Your exact figure is confirmed in a written itemised quotation after the free home design visit.
