Fitted Bedroom Furniture

Arabella Fitted Bedroom Furniture

The Arabella is the wall for a bedroom that is dressed rather than furnished. Ivory in-frame panelled doors run from floor to ceiling with a small brass knob on each, and the face frame around every door gives the wall the depth of built joinery. It is drawn here for a classic room with a chandelier and a scalloped headboard, and it suits any bedroom with tall ceilings.

How it works: each door is an 18mm E1-grade MDF board with a raised-panel profile routed into it and an ivory foil wrapped over, hung inside a matching face frame on concealed soft-close hinges. The top filler is scribed to the ceiling on site.

Designed around how you use your room

  • In-frame panelled doors from floor to ceiling
  • Double and long hanging, shelving and internal drawers planned to what you own
  • Brass knobs
  • Ivory interiors, or a contrast colour
  • LED strips inside to order

Built for everyday use: 18mm carcasses with a solid 18mm back, top and bottom; wrapped doors wipe clean and the routed panel cannot lift.

The Arabella shown measures about 4400mm wide and 2700mm high. Yours is made to your walls.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Every carcass of the Arabella is cut in our HA9 Wembley factory to the survey of your room, the doors are routed and wrapped before they leave, and the run is hung and scribed on site by our own fitters.

The face frames and doors are cut from the same survey so the frame widths are equal across the whole wall.

Quality you can rely on: your Metro fitted furniture comes with a 10-year guarantee covering parts and labour.

Arabella Fitted Bedroom Furniture FAQs

Arabella Fitted Bedroom Furniture FAQs

What does in-frame mean?
Each door sits inside a face frame on the front of the cabinet rather than covering it, so you see the frame around every door. It is the traditional way to build a painted wardrobe and it gives the wall a second outline around each front.
Is the panel a separate moulding?
No. The raised-panel profile is routed into the board before the ivory foil is wrapped over it, so there is no applied moulding to lift and the surface wipes clean.
Will it suit a period room?
It is drawn for one. The panelled doors and face frame sit naturally with cornice, skirting and a chandelier, and the doors are scribed to the ceiling height of the room.
Can I have a different colour?
Yes. Ivory is shown; the same door comes in any of our matt colours, and the knobs can be brass, black or chrome.
Door Edge Detail

The Five Edge Profiles

A wrapped door has no banding: its edge is the shape routed into the core before the face is wrapped over it. These are the edge profiles the door can carry; your designer brings a sample of each.
01
Chamfered ARABELLA PANELLED WALL
18mm or 22mm core, with a soft 3mm radius on the top-front edge. The most popular profile across in-frame and contemporary doors.

02
10mm Stepped Chamfer
18mm core with a 10mm chamfered step on the top edge — adds a subtle bevel that catches the light at the door's top line.

03
1mm Chamfered Edge
A near-sharp edge with a 1mm chamfer — gives doors a crisp, architectural feel. Common on slab and minimalist styles.

04
20mm Stepped Profile
A pronounced 20mm step that creates a defined shadow line along the top edge. Adds visible architectural detail to flat-panel styles.

05
25mm Gentle Curve
A wide 25mm rolled edge — the softest profile in the range. Reads as a hand-shaped, traditional joinery detail. Often paired with shaker and panelled designs.
