Fitted Bedroom Furniture

Clementine Fitted Bedroom Furniture

The Clementine is the wall you stop noticing, which is the point. Cream slab doors from floor to ceiling fill the wall beside the bed, a bank of four drawers replaces the chest, and slim bar handles are the only detail. In a light room with a gallery wall over the headboard, the wardrobe becomes the background.

How it works: each door is an 18mm MFC board in cream matt, banded in the same colour, hung on concealed soft-close hinges. The drawer bank is a made-to-measure carcass on the same line as the wardrobes, with soft-close runners.

Designed around how you use your room

  • Slab doors from floor to ceiling
  • Four-drawer bank beside the bed
  • Double and long hanging and shelving planned to what you own
  • Slim bar handles, or handleless to order
  • Cream interiors, or a contrast colour
  • LED strips inside to order

Built for everyday use: 18mm carcasses with a solid 18mm back, top and bottom; matt slab doors wipe clean.

The Clementine shown measures about 3600mm wide and 2500mm high. Yours is made to your walls.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Every carcass of the Clementine is cut in our HA9 Wembley factory to the survey of your room, the doors are routed and wrapped before they leave, and the run is hung and scribed on site by our own fitters.

The drawer bank and the wardrobes are cut from the same survey so the drawer fronts and the door rails line through.

Quality you can rely on: your Metro fitted furniture comes with a 10-year guarantee covering parts and labour.

“Really pleased with our fitted bedroom furniture from Metro. The design and finish look great, the storage works well, and the installation team did a good job. A few small snagging points were handled very professionally. We’re very happy with the result and already thinking about our next project with them!”

“Excellent Job from Metro Wardrobes. Not cheap but you definitely get your money worth, plus a 10 year guarantee. The builder Kinjal along with his colleague Naitik performed very well and completed essentially everything in one day. They had to come back the next day to install handles to drawers and doors as my personal selection was not available in time but they came in within 24hrs of the wardrobe installation. Happy with everything and hopefully I will not need to use the guarantee.”

“Metro Kitchens and Bedrooms have done a fantastic job. I have had fitted wardrobes in the bedroom. I was very impressed with the installation fitters (Hiren and Montu), the designer (Rento) and (Magda) who took care of all the communication and paperwork. They all worked with us, reassuring us throughout the whole process. Well done guys.”

Clementine Fitted Bedroom Furniture FAQs

Clementine Fitted Bedroom Furniture FAQs

Why slab doors?
Because in a light, plain room a flat door disappears. There is no profile to catch shadow, so the wall reads as one surface and the gallery wall over the bed does the talking.
What is the drawer bank for?
It replaces a chest of drawers: four deep soft-close drawers beside the bed for folded clothes, on the same carcass line as the wardrobe so the fronts line through.
Can I go handleless?
Yes. The same doors can be made with a recessed grip rail or a push-to-open catch instead of the slim bars shown.
Can I have a different colour?
Yes. Cream is shown; the same slab door comes in any of our matt colours or woodgrains.
Door Edge Detail

The Five Edge Profiles

A wrapped door has no banding: its edge is the shape routed into the core before the face is wrapped over it. These are the edge profiles the door can carry; your designer brings a sample of each.
01
Chamfered CLEMENTINE SLAB WALL
18mm or 22mm core, with a soft 3mm radius on the top-front edge. The most popular profile across in-frame and contemporary doors.

02
10mm Stepped Chamfer
18mm core with a 10mm chamfered step on the top edge — adds a subtle bevel that catches the light at the door's top line.

03
1mm Chamfered Edge
A near-sharp edge with a 1mm chamfer — gives doors a crisp, architectural feel. Common on slab and minimalist styles.

04
20mm Stepped Profile
A pronounced 20mm step that creates a defined shadow line along the top edge. Adds visible architectural detail to flat-panel styles.

05
25mm Gentle Curve
A wide 25mm rolled edge — the softest profile in the range. Reads as a hand-shaped, traditional joinery detail. Often paired with shaker and panelled designs.
