The Dylan is wrapped in subtle matt microtexture vinyl — the full matt palette, from soft whites and greys to deep heritage tones.
Door style and carcass can be mixed — pair Pure White doors with a Cotta Cremona Oak interior for warmth, or match for a tonal look.
About This Style

Grey remains the colour London asks for by name — and this is grey done properly: a warm stone-grey with real depth, on a door whose five-piece construction gives the flat colour architecture. This is the Dylan, shown with black bar handles and a floating shadow gap, the room lifted by a sculptural chandelier.

How it works: two 75mm French-cut stiles, two rails and a floating centre panel, joined with 8mm beech dowels and PVA from 22mm MDF — then wrapped in a subtle matt microtexture vinyl that reads as flawless paint and behaves far better: no brush marks, no chips, no polished patches at the handles. 1mm ABS end caps and soft 1.5mm radius edges finish each door.

Make it yours: the full matt palette — soft whites, greys from pale to slate, and deep heritage tones — with ten Kronospan interior colours. Single, three or four-panel layouts, or a full-height mirror; floor-to-ceiling runs, alcoves, walk-ins and corners, all cut in our Wembley workshop.

Every grey fitted wardrobe is designed at a free home visit, made to measure in North London, and installed by our own fitters with a 10-year guarantee.

Grey, grown up

Grey earned its decade at the top for a reason: no other colour balances light and shadow so calmly across a large surface. The trick is warmth — a stone-grey with a brown undertone furnishes a bedroom, where a cold blue-grey merely fills it. On the Dylan the colour gets structure too: five real pieces of joinery draw fine shadow lines across every door, so the wall reads panelled, not painted.

Every project is measured and made in our Wembley workshop — floor-to-ceiling runs, alcoves, walk-ins and mirror doors — in the full matt palette with ten interior colours, installed by our own fitters with a 10-year guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Grey fitted wardrobes: your questions answered

Which grey works best in a bedroom?
Warm stone-greys (as shown) pair with timber floors and cream textiles; cooler dove greys suit crisp white schemes; slate and anthracite read tailored and modern. Your designer brings physical swatches so you can judge the undertone in your own light.
Is grey going out of fashion?
Trend greys (cool, blueish) have faded; warm greys have quietly become neutrals, like oak or white. Choosing a warm undertone future-proofs the room.
What is the door made of?
A true five-piece shaker — 75mm stiles, rails and a floating panel, dowelled and glued from 22mm MDF — wrapped in matt microtexture vinyl, so the joinery look never needs repainting.
How much does a grey fitted wardrobe cost in London?
Most complete projects come to £2,400 – £8,500 including delivery and installation, depending on width and internals — colour makes no difference. A written itemised quote follows your free home design visit.
Are Metro wardrobes made in the UK?
Yes — every wardrobe is made in our own Wembley, North London workshop and installed by our own fitters, with a 10-year guarantee.
Door Edge Detail

The 6 Edge Profiles

The Six Edge Profiles

The Dylan finishes with 1mm ABS end caps, chamfered edges and a soft 1.5mm radius.
01
Chamfered DYLAN
18mm or 22mm core, with a soft 3mm radius on the top-front edge. The most popular profile across in-frame and contemporary doors.

02
10mm Stepped Chamfer
18mm core with a 10mm chamfered step on the top edge — adds a subtle bevel that catches the light at the door's top line.

03
1mm Chamfered Edge
A near-sharp edge with a 1mm chamfer — gives doors a crisp, architectural feel. Common on slab and minimalist styles.

04
20mm Stepped Profile
A pronounced 20mm step that creates a defined shadow line along the top edge. Adds visible architectural detail to flat-panel styles.

05
25mm Gentle Curve
A wide 25mm rolled edge — the softest profile in the range. Reads as a hand-shaped, traditional joinery detail. Often paired with shaker and panelled designs.
