About This Style

The Harley Slatted Media Wall gives the television a wall of its own without a cabinet around it. Walnut slats run floor to ceiling across the wall on a back board, the screen mounts on them with the cables behind, and a long charcoal console floats beneath on a concealed rail, with push-to-open drawers for the boxes and an LED strip under it.

Crafted from 18mm board with walnut woodgrain slats, a charcoal console on a 60kg concealed rail, full-extension soft-close runners and push-to-open catches, the wall is built to your room, your screen and your sockets.

Every media wall is made to measure in our Wembley, North London workshop and fitted by our own team. Backed by a 10-Year Parts and Labour Guarantee.

Harley Slatted Media Wall

The Harley Slatted Media Wall is for a room that wants the television on the wall and nothing else in the way: a walnut slatted panel behind it, a low floating console beneath it, the floor clear and the cables gone.

The finish is walnut woodgrain slats with a charcoal matt console, so the panel warms the room and the console reads as a single dark line under the screen.

How it works: the slats are fixed to a back board on battens with a void behind for the cables; the screen hangs on a bracket through the board; the console is a solid-back carcass on a concealed rail with push-to-open drawers on full-extension soft-close runners; and an LED strip under the console lights the floor.

Designed around your television and the room

A media wall works around more than the wall: the screen size and its height from the sofa, the boxes that need air and a line of sight for the remote, the cables that must not show, and what the wall does when the television is off. Each of those is measured and decided at the design visit.

  • Floor-to-ceiling walnut slatted panel
  • Screen on a bracket, wired behind the panel
  • Floating charcoal console on a concealed 60kg rail
  • Push-to-open drawers on soft-close runners
  • LED strip under the console
  • Void behind the panel for power and HDMI
  • Made to the wall, the screen and the sockets

Designed for the room: the slats can be oak or a painted colour, the console longer or with doors, and a lit shelf can sit above the screen for a soundbar.

Built for everyday use: the Harley is built on a solid 18mm back fixed to the wall, so the screen bracket, the shelves and the cabinets are carried by the furniture rather than the plaster; the cables run in a void behind the back and the boxes sit in a ventilated bay.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Your Harley is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our HA9 Wembley factory. The beam saw cuts each panel to its own size, the CNC drills the hinge, shelf and bracket positions, and the industrial edge-bander finishes every visible edge, so the wall leaves the workshop as one matched set.

The wall, the ceiling, the sofa position, the screen size and the sockets are all measured at your design visit, and the wall is scribed to the room on installation.

Quality you can rely on: your Metro fitted furniture comes with a 10-year guarantee covering parts and labour.

“Excellent service from design consultation through to completion. Great value with superb quality fitted wardrobes. The designer - Nitesh - helped us maximise the available storage space without busting our budget. The crew led by Sandeep was very professional, meticulous in the build and left the house spotless. We selected the super matt finish which is a little bit more expensive but looks fantastic. Our bedroom is transformed in the best possible way.”

“Highly recommend. The service and quality are excellent. Our designer visited the house, took measurements and later showed us 3D renders of the finished wardrobe. The fitting team left the flat immaculately clean.”

Cameron MckGoogle review

“Excellent from start to finish!! James visited on Saturday to quote and design. On Monday I called to book and today (Wed) 3 people of his team completed my fitted wardrobe. Team was very clean and mindful when moving things around and did an amazing job. Expectations met and exceeded at a very good price. Definitely recommend for high standards.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Harley Slatted Media Wall FAQs

What is the Harley Slatted Media Wall?
A floor-to-ceiling walnut slatted panel that carries the screen with the cables hidden behind it, and a floating charcoal console with push-to-open drawers beneath. It is built to your room and your screen in our Wembley workshop and fitted by our own team.
Will the console hold?
Yes. It hangs on a steel rail rated for 60kg with fixings chosen for the wall type, and takes the boxes, the games and the remotes. It is not for sitting on.
Can it take a larger television?
Yes. The screen bay is drawn to the television you own or the one you are buying, with room around it for air and a soundbar, and the wall is proportioned so the screen sits at eye height from the sofa.
Where do the cables and the boxes go?
The cables run in a void behind the solid back and drop to the boxes, which sit in a ventilated bay behind a door or on an open shelf with a line of sight for the remote. Nothing shows on the front.
Can I choose a different finish?
Yes. The same wall can be made in any of our woodgrains or painted colours, with slab, shaker or glazed doors. Samples are brought to your home so the finish is chosen in the room.
How long does it take?
Fitted within 21 days of your order being confirmed, usually in one to two days on site. Our own fitters fix the wall, scribe it to the room, hang the screen and wire the lighting.
Edge Detail

The Three Media Wall Edge Details

On a media wall the edges are what the eye reads around the screen — the door reveals, the base you set things on, the shelf fronts that carry the light. These are the details we work to. Your designer specifies them at the survey.
01
1mm ABS Square Edge HARLEY SLATTED MEDIA WALL
The standard edge on an MFC slab: a 1mm band in the same decor as the face, applied by machine and trimmed square. It is the edge on the doors and end panels of a media wall, where a run of flat fronts around a screen wants the cleanest possible line and nothing to catch the light.

02
2mm ABS Softened Edge
A thicker 2mm band with the corner softened to a small radius. It takes knocks better than a square edge, which matters on the base of a media wall — the drawers and doors at shin height, opened with a foot or a push, and the top of a floating base that things are set down on. Specified per front.

03
Lit Shelf Edge
The media-wall edge. An LED channel is routed into the front edge of a shelf, a niche top or a base top before it is banded, so the strip sits flush inside the edge and lights the surface below it rather than the room. It is how the cubbies, towers, columns and niches on these walls are lit, on one dimmable switch.
