Montagu Media Wall London

The Montagu Media Wall is for a living room where the television should not be the point of the room. Charcoal shaker cabinetry takes the whole wall, and the screen sits in one bay of it under shelves, between glazed cabinets, over cupboards, with a cornice at the ceiling.

The finish is a charcoal shaker with nickel knobs, glazed in the uppers and the base so the books and the objects read through the glass. The interiors match the fronts.

How it works: the wall is a set of solid-back carcasses fixed to the wall. The screen hangs on a bracket through the back with the cables in the void behind it, the boxes sit in a ventilated bay under the screen shelf, the glazed doors are shaker frames with clear glass on concealed soft-close hinges, and the cornice is scribed to the ceiling.

Designed around your television and the room

A media wall works around more than the wall: the screen size and its height from the sofa, the boxes that need air and a line of sight for the remote, the cables that must not show, and what the wall does when the television is off. Each of those is measured and decided at the design visit.

Designed for the room: the glazing can be solid, the cornice can be dropped for a modern ceiling, and the charcoal can be any of our painted colours or a woodgrain.

Built for everyday use: the Montagu is built on a solid 18mm back fixed to the wall, so the screen bracket, the shelves and the cabinets are carried by the furniture rather than the plaster; the cables run in a void behind the back and the boxes sit in a ventilated bay.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Your Montagu is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our HA9 Wembley factory. The beam saw cuts each panel to its own size, the CNC drills the hinge, shelf and bracket positions, and the industrial edge-bander finishes every visible edge, so the wall leaves the workshop as one matched set.

The wall, the ceiling, the sofa position, the screen size and the sockets are all measured at your design visit, and the wall is scribed to the room on installation.
