The Haymarket Media Unit is the calm one. A wall of Dust Grey Matt doors with no handles runs from one side of the room to the other; the television sits on a central panel with a lit niche beneath it for the things that need to be within reach, and at each end a full-height column of open shelves, lit and lined in Carbon Grey, holds what you want to see.

Everything else is behind a door. It is the media wall for a room where the screen should disappear when it is off.

How it works: the Haymarket is built from 18mm E1-grade MFC as a full-height run, planned from the screen outwards: the TV panel and its niche in the centre, tall cupboards either side to the width the wall allows, and the lit columns closing the run at each end. Doors are push-to-open with concealed soft-close hinges; the base is a row of drawers on the same catches.

The niche under the screen is lit along its top edge and open, so a soundbar and the things in daily use sit there without a door to open.

A handleless wall is only calm if the storage behind it is planned, so the Haymarket is divided by how often you reach for things.

Built around your television: the central panel is made to the screen with the niche beneath it and the tall doors either side set out from it, so the wall is symmetrical about the television and the display columns are the same width at both ends.

Keeping the living room organised: daily things in the lit niche, equipment and boxes in the base drawers, everything else behind the tall doors, and only the chosen objects in the end columns. When the screen is off the wall reads as a grey wall with two lit bookcases.

Built for everyday use: 18mm MFC with a solid 18mm back, top and bottom to every carcass, fixed to the wall along the run; Dust Grey Matt is a textured board that hides the fingerprints a push-to-open door collects.

The Haymarket shown measures 4200mm wide x 2400mm high x 450mm deep. Those are this room’s figures; yours is planned from wall to wall.

A handleless wall has no hardware to distract from a bad gap, so the doors are cut on the beam saw in our HA9 Wembley factory to a single reveal and the hinge and catch positions are drilled on the CNC so every door sits flush with its neighbour.

The LED channels are routed into the niche and the column tops before delivery, the Carbon Grey column linings are banded on every visible edge, and the end panels are scribed to the walls on installation.

Both walls, the screen and the seating are measured at your design visit, before anything is made.
