Highclere Over-Bed Wardrobe London

The Highclere Over-Bed Wardrobe is a made-to-measure bedroom storage system that combines shaker fitted wardrobes with a bridging cabinet above the bed, drawn for a period room with a cornice, an arch and tall windows.

Full-height olive green towers with brass knobs stand either side of the bed, the bridge spans the headboard, and bedside cabinets with lit niches carry the lamps. The run is scribed to the cornice so the room keeps its detail.

How it works: the shaker recess is routed into a single 18mm MDF board, so there are no frame-and-panel joints to open, and the olive green finish runs over face, frame and recess. The carcass is solid 18mm, hinges are concealed soft-close, and the brass knobs are through-bolted.

Fixed as one run: the bridging cabinets are designed as part of the complete fitted run. They are securely fixed to the wall and supported by the full-height wardrobe towers on either side, rather than functioning as independent cabinets simply suspended above the bed.
