The Vilo is Metro Decor's flagship handleless fitted wardrobe — designed, manufactured and installed for homes across London and the Home Counties. Where a traditional wardrobe relies on handles and visible hardware, the Vilo uses an integrated J-pull groove routed into the top edge of every door, so the whole run reads as one clean, continuous plane from skirting to ceiling. It is the look that defines contemporary London interiors: minimal, architectural, and quietly expensive.

Every Vilo is genuinely made to measure. We build to the exact dimensions of your room — straight walls, chimney breasts, sloping loft ceilings, awkward alcoves and all — so there are no filler panels, no wasted space, and no gaps between the wardrobe and the architecture. For the period terraces of Islington and Hampstead, the mansion flats of Kensington, or new-build apartments along the river, the result is storage that looks built-in because it is.

Built around the Alaska handleless door

The Vilo is built with the Alaska handleless door as standard — a five-layer construction with an 18mm E1-grade, PEFC/FSC-accredited MDF core, wrapped in a durable 5G vinyl face that resists warping, moisture and everyday wear. You can specify the Vilo in over 90 finishes, from Pure White and soft contemporary neutrals through to deep matt colours, high-gloss lacquers, metallics, and realistic oak and walnut woodgrains. The interior carcass comes in 10 Kronospan colours, so you can match the inside to the doors for a tonal look, or contrast — pairing crisp white doors with a warm Cotta Cremona Oak interior is one of our most popular combinations.

Floor-to-ceiling, alcove, walk-in and corner builds

Because the Vilo is bespoke, it adapts to whatever your room needs. Floor-to-ceiling runs maximise vertical storage and remove the dust-trap gap above a freestanding wardrobe. Alcove builds fit neatly around a chimney breast. Walk-in configurations turn a spare room or large landing into a private dressing room with island drawers, illuminated hanging and glass-fronted display. Corner builds wrap around two walls for an L-shaped run. Whatever the layout, the handleless aesthetic stays consistent throughout.
