Blackwood Bespoke Bar Unit

The Blackwood Bespoke Bar Unit is a fitted home bar built as a pair. Two matching cabinets stand in the alcoves either side of a wall, each with glazed upper doors lit from within, a walnut-lined serving recess at counter height, and closed cupboards below — one fitted with a wine rack, the other with drawers.

The cabinets are Charcoal Black with framed glazed uppers and small brass knobs, and every interior is Lincoln Walnut, so when the lights come on the black frames hold two warm, glowing cases of bottles and glasses.

How it works: each cabinet is built from 18mm board on an 18mm solid-back carcass, sized to its own alcove. The glazed uppers are framed doors with clear glass in place of the panel, lit by downlights in the cabinet top; the recess beneath is open, lined in walnut and lit along its top edge; the base cupboards hang on soft-close hinges.

The walnut recess is the serving surface — deep enough for a tray, bottles and a shaker — with the wine rack and the drawers within reach of it.

Designed around how you entertain

A pair of alcove bars divides the drinks by kind: spirits and glassware on show behind glass, wine in the rack, the mixing done on the recess between.

Designed for serving as well as storage: the recess is the bar. Bottles come down from the lit cabinet above, glasses from beside them, and the drinks are made on the walnut shelf with the wine rack at hand — then the doors close and the room is a sitting room again.

Built for everyday use: 18mm solid-back carcasses fixed into each alcove, so the cabinets carry their own backs against uneven alcove walls, and the glazed doors are hung on soft-close hinges rated for the glass.

The Blackwood shown is a pair in matching alcoves; a single cabinet, or two of different widths, is planned to your wall.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Two alcoves are never quite the same width, so each Blackwood cabinet is cut on the beam saw in our HA9 Wembley factory to its own alcove from the survey, with the shelf and hinge positions drilled on the CNC so the two cabinets match inside even where the alcoves do not.

The glazed frames are cut for their glass, the walnut recess linings are banded on every visible edge, and the wine rack is made to the bottle count you give us.

Both alcoves, the skirting and the ceiling are measured at your design visit, and each cabinet is scribed to its alcove on installation.
