About This Style

The Cadogan Floating Dressing Table hangs a walnut drawer box on the wall with the floor clear beneath it, under a large pill-shaped mirror lit around its edge. On a dark panelled wall with a brass pendant to one side it is a dressing table that takes almost no room, and reads as a piece of joinery rather than furniture.

Crafted from 18mm walnut woodgrain board on a concealed steel rail, with two push-to-open drawers on full-extension soft-close runners and a mirror with an integrated LED surround, the piece is made to the wall and the seat height.

Every dressing table is made to measure in our Wembley, North London workshop and installed by our own team. Backed by a 10-Year Parts and Labour Guarantee.

Cadogan Floating Dressing Table

The Cadogan is the dressing table for a wall that has to stay open: a walnut drawer box floats at seat height, the floor runs under it, and a lit pill mirror above it does the work a lamp would do.

How it works: a two-drawer box in walnut woodgrain on a concealed steel rail, push-to-open fronts, full-extension soft-close runners, a mirror with an LED surround wired behind the box, and a socket in the same void for the hairdryer.

Designed to the seat

A dressing table is measured from the person who sits at it. The top sits at 730 to 760mm so knees clear it on a 450mm stool, the mirror is centred at eye height seated, about 1150mm, and the light comes from beside or around the mirror so the face is lit and not the wall. Your designer takes those three heights at the design visit and the piece is drawn to them.

Designed for the room: the Cadogan can be made wider or narrower to the wall, with more or fewer drawers, in any painted colour or woodgrain from the door library, with a brass, nickel or black handle, and with a mirror that is round, oval, arched or rectangular.

Built for everyday use: a solid-back 18mm carcass, drawer boxes with 16mm solid sides on full-extension soft-close runners, a walnut woodgrain top that wipes clean of powder and perfume, and the mirror light and the socket wired behind the piece so nothing trails.

Will it hold?

Yes. The box hangs on a steel rail rated for 60kg with fixings chosen for the wall type at the survey, and it is not for sitting on. Drawers take make-up, jewellery and a hairdryer with ease.
