About This Style

The Portman Dressing Table builds the dressing table into the wardrobe run. A white pedestal table with drawers sits under an arched mirror lit around its edge, the shelves above and beside it are lit and run to the ceiling, and the whole piece finishes flush against a pair of tongue-and-groove wardrobe doors.

Crafted from 18mm board with white lacquered fronts, slim black bar handles, a lit shelving surround and a mirror with an integrated LED surround, the piece is made to the wall, the ceiling and the wardrobes beside it.

Every dressing table is made to measure in our Wembley, North London workshop and installed by our own team. Backed by a 10-Year Parts and Labour Guarantee.

Portman Dressing Table

The Portman is the dressing table for a fitted bedroom: it takes the bay between the wardrobes and the window, with the mirror, the shelves and the drawers built as one piece and finished flush to the wardrobe doors.

How it works: two pedestals of two drawers carry the top with the knee space between; the shelving surround is fixed to the wall and scribed to the ceiling and the wardrobe end panel, with an LED strip under each shelf; the arched mirror sits in the surround with an LED edge wired behind.

Designed to the seat

A dressing table is measured from the person who sits at it. The top sits at 730 to 760mm so knees clear it on a 450mm stool, the mirror is centred at eye height seated, about 1150mm, and the light comes from beside or around the mirror so the face is lit and not the wall. Your designer takes those three heights at the design visit and the piece is drawn to them.

Designed for the room: the Portman can be made wider or narrower to the wall, with more or fewer drawers, in any painted colour or woodgrain from the door library, with a brass, nickel or black handle, and with a mirror that is round, oval, arched or rectangular.

Built for everyday use: a solid-back 18mm carcass, drawer boxes with 16mm solid sides on full-extension soft-close runners, a lacquered top that wipes clean of powder and perfume, and the mirror light and the socket wired behind the piece so nothing trails.

Every Portman is made to measure in our HA9 Wembley factory, cut on a CNC from the approved drawing, edge-banded on industrial equipment, sprayed in the same batch as any wardrobes in the order, and delivered and set in place by our own team. It comes with our 10-year guarantee.
