Carlton Bar Unit

The Carlton Bespoke Bar Unit is a made-to-measure home bar for an open-plan room, where the bar has to look like furniture from the dining table and work as a bar when the lights go down.

Charcoal matt cupboards and a wine cooler sit under a white marble-effect worktop that returns up the wall as a splashback; open shelves above it are lit from underneath, and a full-height glazed cabinet with its own lighting closes the run against the terrace doors.

How it works: the cabinetry is manufactured from 18mm MFC on an 18mm solid-back E1-grade carcass with a Stone Grey interior. Doors use push-to-open catches with soft-close hinges; the wine cooler housing is vented; the worktop is templated in place; every shelf carries an LED strip.
