Soho Bespoke Bar Unit London

The Soho Bespoke Bar Unit is a bar you sit at. A run of Matt White base cupboards with Dark Walnut wine racks set into it carries a white marble-effect counter, black-framed glazed cabinets above are lit and full of bottles and glasses, and a fluted peninsula returns into the room with bar stools on its far side.

Two finishes do the work: white for the cabinets, so the run stays light against the window, and Dark Walnut for the wine racks and the interiors, so the bottles sit in warm wood. Brushed stainless bar handles pick out the doors and drawers.

How it works: the Soho is built from 18mm MFC on 18mm solid-back E1-grade carcasses in two parts: the wall run, with the wine racks built into the base and the glazed uppers fixed above, and the peninsula, a freestanding-looking counter on a fluted plinth that fixes back to the wall run. Doors hang on soft-close hinges; drawers run on soft-close runners; the stemware rack hangs beneath the uppers.

The peninsula counter continues the marble-effect top, so the bar is one surface from the wall to the stools.

A peninsula turns a bar into a place: someone makes the drinks on one side and everyone else sits on the other.

Designed for serving as well as storage: the wall counter is where the drinks are made and the peninsula is where they are drunk. Wine comes from the racks at knee height, glasses from the rack overhead, spirits from the lit cabinets, and the peninsula keeps the guests on the right side of the bar.

Built for everyday use: 18mm solid-back carcasses on the wall run, a peninsula fixed back to it so it cannot be pushed, a marble-effect top that wipes clean, and full-extension soft-close drawers.

The Soho is planned to your room; the peninsula can return left or right, or be left off where the room is narrow.

The wine racks are the detail. Each grid is cut on the CNC in our HA9 Wembley factory to the bottle count you give us and set into the base carcass as a unit, with the walnut banded on every edge the bottles touch.

The fluted peninsula front is made as a panel and fixed to the counter carcass, the glazed uppers are framed and hung before delivery, and the marble-effect top is cut to run from the wall to the end of the peninsula in one line.

The wall, the window and the space for the stools are measured at your design visit, before anything is made.
