About This Style

If the Windsor is a statement, the Verona is a manner — the classic fitted wardrobe that simply looks as though it has always belonged. Its crown arch rises in one smooth curve from slim stiles, its moulding is rounded rather than carved deep, and across a full wall the effect is calm, gracious and quietly traditional, shown here in near-black with brass and a lit oak display bay.

How it works: the arch, both panels and the rounded moulding are routed into an 18mm E1-grade MDF core (PEFC/FSC® accredited) and wrapped in one seamless skin — no joints, no cracking paint lines. Stiles are a slim 54mm (the slimmest in our arched family), edges carry a sculpted 20mm step profile, and doors hang on soft-close Blum hinges with your choice of handles.

Make it yours: 80+ matt, superior matt and woodgrain finishes (no gloss), ten Kronospan interior colours, floor-to-ceiling runs with top boxes, alcoves, walk-ins and corners — all cut in our Wembley workshop.

Every classic fitted wardrobe is designed at a free home visit, made to measure in North London, and installed by our own fitters with a 10-year guarantee.

The soft power of a curve

Straight lines are efficient; curves are kind. The Verona’s crown arch does something subtle to a bedroom — it takes the largest object in the room and gives it grace, the way a sash window’s glazing bars stop a wall of glass feeling industrial. Because the curve flows straight out of the stiles with no steps, the eye reads the whole wall as one soft rhythm rather than a row of boxes.

Each project is built to your measured room in our Wembley workshop — floor-to-ceiling with top boxes, around alcoves and chimney breasts, into corners and walk-ins — in 80+ matt, superior matt and woodgrain finishes with ten interior colours, installed by our own fitters with a 10-year guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Classic fitted wardrobes: your questions answered

What is the difference between classic and traditional wardrobe styles?
Degree, mostly. Traditional doors (like our Windsor) carry deep mouldings and bold arches; classic doors like the Verona keep the same language but soften it — slimmer stiles, a gentle crown curve, rounded mouldings. Classic suits rooms that want warmth without weight.
Does a classic style date?
The crown arch has been used in English furniture for well over a century — it long predates fashion cycles. Pair it with a contemporary colour and it reads timeless rather than dated; repaint-free finishes mean the colour can be chosen boldly.
How is the arch made?
The curve and both panels are routed into a single 18mm board, then wrapped in one seamless skin — the look of classic joinery with no joints to open and nothing to crack.
How much does a classic fitted wardrobe cost in London?
Most complete projects come to £2,400 – £8,500 including delivery and installation, depending on width and internals. Your exact figure is confirmed in a written itemised quote after the free home design visit.
Are Metro wardrobes made in the UK?
Yes — every wardrobe is made in our own Wembley, North London workshop and installed by our own fitters, with a 10-year guarantee.
Door Edge Detail

The 6 Edge Profiles

The Six Edge Profiles

The Verona door is supplied with Profile Edge 4 — a sculpted 20mm step profile that matches its rounded moulding.
01
Chamfered VERONA
18mm or 22mm core, with a soft 3mm radius on the top-front edge. The most popular profile across in-frame and contemporary doors.

02
10mm Stepped Chamfer
18mm core with a 10mm chamfered step on the top edge — adds a subtle bevel that catches the light at the door's top line.

03
1mm Chamfered Edge
A near-sharp edge with a 1mm chamfer — gives doors a crisp, architectural feel. Common on slab and minimalist styles.

04
20mm Stepped Profile
A pronounced 20mm step that creates a defined shadow line along the top edge. Adds visible architectural detail to flat-panel styles.

05
25mm Gentle Curve
A wide 25mm rolled edge — the softest profile in the range. Reads as a hand-shaped, traditional joinery detail. Often paired with shaker and panelled designs.
