Ealing Tallboy London

The Ealing is the chest for the corner nothing else fits: 600mm wide, 1.2 metres high, five drawers. The top drawer is shallow for the socks and the small things, the four below are deep for everything folded, and the brass knobs sit in a single line down the centre.

The taupe is a soft, warm lacquer that suits a nursery as well as a spare room, and the plain slab fronts take a knob in brass, black or a colour.

How it works: five 16mm solid-sided drawer boxes on full-extension soft-close runners in a solid-back carcass, the top drawer 120mm deep and the rest 220mm. A tallboy is fixed to the wall with a concealed anti-tip bracket, which is why we deliver and fit it rather than leave it in a box.

Designed for the smallest footprint

Where a wide chest will not go, height does the work. The Ealing stacks its storage so the floor it takes is a square of 600 by 480mm, the top is at a height for a lamp, and the drawers are all reached standing.

Designed for the room: the tallboy can be four or six drawers high, made in any painted colour with knobs to suit a child's room, and paired with a matching bedside.

The Ealing is cut, built and sprayed in our HA9 Wembley factory, with the drawers fitted before delivery.
