Finchley Tall Chest of Drawers London

The Finchley is the chest for a wall that is short and a room that is tall. Four deep drawers stacked one above the other give it the capacity of a wide chest in 900mm of width, and the recessed handles keep the front flat so it does not catch a passing shoulder beside a door.

The pale ash is a light, even woodgrain with the grain running across the fronts, and the recessed handles are cut into the top edge of each so the piece reads as one block.

How it works: four 16mm solid-sided drawer boxes on full-extension soft-close runners in a solid-back carcass, each 240mm deep inside; the recessed handles are routed into the front and lined in the same finish. The chest is fixed to the wall with a concealed anti-tip bracket, which a tall chest always should be.

Designed for the wall beside the door

Every bedroom has one wall too short for a wide chest and too good to leave empty. The Finchley uses it: a narrow footprint, four full-depth drawers, a flat front and a top at a height for a lamp or a plant.

Designed for the room: the chest can be five drawers high where the ceiling allows, 600mm wide for a very short wall, or made in oak, walnut or paint with bar handles instead of recessed ones.

Built for everyday use: the runners reach the back of each drawer, the fronts are banded on every edge, and the anti-tip bracket makes it safe in a child's room.

The Finchley is cut and built in our HA9 Wembley factory, the handles routed on the CNC, and the drawers fitted before delivery.
