Camden Floating Bedside London

The Camden is the bedside for a room that wants its floor back. Hung on the wall at mattress height, it has no legs and no plinth, so the floor runs under it and the room reads larger; a pendant over each takes the place of a lamp and keeps the top clear for a book and a glass.

One deep drawer takes what a bedside holds, and the grey lacquer sits quietly against the panelled headboard wall behind it.

How it works: a solid-back carcass with one 16mm solid-sided drawer on a full-extension soft-close runner, hung on a concealed steel rail screwed to the wall through the back panel, with a void behind it for the cables to the pendant, the wall light and the charger. Push to open, or a bar handle where preferred.

Designed to float

A floating bedside is fixed to a concealed steel rail screwed into the wall, so it carries a drawer full of books without a leg. The height is set to the mattress at the design visit, the cables for a pendant or a wall light run behind it, and the floor is cleaned with nothing to move.

Designed for the room: the bedside can be two drawers where the bed is high, wider where the wall allows, made in any painted colour or woodgrain, and lit beneath with an LED strip so it floats at night.

Built for everyday use: the rail is rated for 40kg, the lacquer wipes clean, and the top is banded on every edge.

The Camden is cut and sprayed in our HA9 Wembley factory, with the rail fixings and the drawer fitted before delivery.
