Highgate Shaker Bedside London

The Highgate is the bedside that belongs to its wardrobes. The same shaker frame, the same white paint batch and the same black bar as the doors beside it, in three drawers: a shallow one on top for the small things and two deeper ones for the books and the rest.

Under a wall light and beside a panelled headboard it is a quiet piece, which is what a bedside in a period room should be.

How it works: a solid-back carcass with three 16mm solid-sided drawers on full-extension soft-close runners; the fronts are shaker frames with a flat centre panel, painted with the carcass, and the bars are fixed through into inserts. A cable slot in the back takes the lamp lead.

Designed to match the wardrobes

A bedside in a different style from the wardrobes beside it is the thing most bedrooms get wrong. The Highgate is made in the same batch as our shaker wardrobes so the frame, the paint and the handle are identical, and it is drawn to the gap between the bed and the wardrobe door.

Designed for the room: the bedside can be two drawers for a low bed, made in any painted colour, or floated on a wall rail where the floor should stay clear.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

The Highgate is cut, framed and sprayed in our HA9 Wembley factory alongside the wardrobes it matches, with the drawers fitted before delivery.
