Kensal Bedside London

The Kensal is the bedside for a grey room that wants warmth in it. The soft grey lacquer sits quietly against a grey headboard wall, and the copper bars, matched to the wall lights above, give it a glow. Three drawers, the top one shallow, stand on a recessed plinth at the height of the mattress.

It is shown as a pair, which is how most bedsides are ordered, either side of a bed under a headboard wall lit from behind.

How it works: a solid-back carcass with three 16mm solid-sided drawers on full-extension soft-close runners, a shallow top drawer of 120mm and two of 200mm, the fronts lacquered and the copper bars fixed through into inserts. A cable slot in the back takes the lamp lead where the wall light is not enough.

Designed as a pair

Two bedsides at the same height either side of a bed are what make a bed wall look finished, and the Kensal is made as a pair from the same sheets in the same batch so the grey matches. Where the wall is lit from behind the headboard, the bedsides sit just clear of the panel so the light runs behind them.

Designed for the room: the bedside can be two drawers for a low bed, wider where the wall allows, or floated on a wall rail beneath a lit headboard panel, in any painted colour with the bars to match your lights.

Built for everyday use: the lacquer wipes clean, the bars are solid, the runners reach the back of each drawer, and the top is banded on every edge.

The Kensal pair is cut and sprayed in one batch in our HA9 Wembley factory, with the drawers fitted before delivery.
