Eleanor Hinged Wardrobe

The Eleanor is the plainest wardrobe in the hinged range, and deliberately so. A single uninterrupted run of Cashmere Grey doors carries from floor to ceiling with nothing on the face but a slim black bar on each door — no mirrors, no open shelving, no dressing table. It is the option for a bedroom where the wardrobe should not be the thing you notice.

How it works: each door is a flush slab on an 18mm melamine-faced MFC board with a matching 0.8mm ABS edge. There is no frame and no routed detail, so the face reads as one continuous plane and the only line on the elevation is the shadow gap between doors.

Cashmere Grey U702 ST9 is a warm grey on a fine-texture surface, carried through to the interior so an open door shows the same finish rather than a white box. The black bar handles run vertically and sit proud of the face, giving the run a regular rhythm across its width.

With no desk or display section taking up part of the run, the whole width is available for storage. Depending on your design, the Eleanor can include:

Built for everyday use: the wardrobe is built on an 18mm MFC E1 Grade carcass with a solid 18mm back, top and bottom, so it stands on its own rather than using your wall as the back panel. Soft-close hinges bring each door to a quiet stop.

Your wardrobe is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our HA9 Wembley factory, from the design approved at your home visit through to the finished components. On a plain run the tolerances are the whole design — with no moulding or handle plate to disguise a joint, the shadow gaps between doors are what the eye reads.

Our beam saw optimises board usage across the order, intelligent CNC and 6-side drilling set the hinge and shelf-pin positions from one digital file so the handles align across the run, and industrial edge-banding applies the matching ABS edge.
