Florence Hinged Wardrobe London

The Florence is the only wardrobe in the hinged range that steps. The run comes forward at one end and sets back at the other, so a wall that is not a single flat plane gets followed rather than boxed out — and the full-height mirror door sits right on the step, where it catches the light from the window opposite.

How it works: the Florence door is a cut-and-edged slab, and a different construction from the MFC doors elsewhere in this range. A Superior Matt foil is flat-bonded to an 18mm E1-grade MDF board and finished with a colour-matched 1mm ABS edge. Because the foil is bonded onto the board rather than the décor being fused into it, the face carries an anti-fingerprint, silky-smooth touch that a melamine board does not.

Superior Matt Stone Grey runs across the whole elevation with a Light Grey interior behind it, and slim matt black bar pulls are the only dark element on the front. The mirror is a 4mm silver pane bonded to the face of a full 18mm door, so it opens on the same hinges and closes with the same weight as the doors either side of it.

A stepped run gives you two different depths to plan into rather than one. Depending on your design, the Florence can include:

Built for everyday use: the carcass is 18mm MFC to E1 Grade, finished internally in Light Grey. The mirror door is heavier than the doors beside it, so its hinges are specified for that weight rather than simply matched to the rest of the run.

Your wardrobe is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our HA9 Wembley factory, from the design approved at your home visit through to the finished components. A stepped run has to be set out as a single drawing even though it sits at two depths — the return between them has to close cleanly, and the mirror door has to finish flush with the step rather than standing proud of it.

Our beam saw optimises board usage across the run, intelligent CNC and 6-side drilling place the hinge positions that carry the bonded mirror door, and industrial edge-banding applies the colour-matched 1mm ABS edge to every visible component.
