MFC — melamine-faced chipboard — is the universal cabinet board of the European furniture industry, produced to the same exacting specification by the leading European board mills: a stable chipboard core with a hard-wearing melamine décor face fused to both sides. Every Metro door and panel is machined from premium E1-grade board in our own Wembley workshop — cut to your exact sizes, with each edge banded in the same colour — so the door face, its edges and the carcass all read as one material.

Face, edge and carcass share the same décor. Because we band the edges ourselves, the edge is the same colour as the face — not a near-miss from a different supplier.

About This Style

The Grace is a white floor-to-ceiling hinged wardrobe built around a full-height mirrored pair at the centre of the run. The mirror is bonded to the full face of two 18mm doors rather than hung in a frame, so they sit flush with their neighbours and the bays behind them are normal full-depth storage.

Flush slab doors on 18mm MFC, slim black bar handles and soft-close hinges throughout. The mirrored doors are heavier than the plain ones, so their hinges are specified for that weight.

Made to measure in our Wembley workshop and installed across London by our own fitting team, with a 10-Year Parts and Labour Guarantee.

Grace Hinged Wardrobe

The Grace puts a full-height mirrored pair at the centre of a white run, so the wardrobe doubles as the room’s dressing mirror. In a bedroom without space for a freestanding cheval mirror, that pair does the job without taking a square metre of floor.

How it works: the solid doors are flush slabs on 18mm MFC. The two central doors carry mirror bonded to the full door face rather than a mirror hung in a frame, so they are the same thickness as their neighbours and sit flush in the run when closed.

Because the mirrors are doors rather than panels, they open on the same soft-close hinges as the rest of the wardrobe and the storage behind them is used exactly like any other bay. Slim black bar handles are the only dark element against the white.

Built for everyday use: the wardrobe is built on an 18mm MFC E1 Grade carcass with a solid 18mm back, top and bottom. The mirrored doors are heavier than the plain ones, so their hinges are specified for that weight rather than matched to the rest of the run.

Manufactured in our Wembley workshop

Your wardrobe is made to measure and precision-manufactured in our HA9 Wembley factory, from the design approved at your home visit through to the finished components. A bonded mirror door has to be made to a tighter tolerance than a plain one — once glass is bonded to the face the door cannot be trimmed on site, so it is machined to final size in the factory.

Our beam saw optimises the board usage, intelligent CNC and 6-side drilling place the hinge positions to carry the extra weight, and industrial edge-banding finishes each component.

Why does the Grace have mirrored doors?

So the wardrobe doubles as the room’s full-length mirror. In a bedroom with no space for a freestanding cheval mirror, a mirrored pair in the run gives you the same thing without using any floor.

Is the mirror a door or a fixed panel?

Are the mirrored doors heavier to open?

Can I choose where the mirrors sit in the run?

Yes. They are centred in the layout shown, but they can sit anywhere in the elevation — placing them opposite a window is a common choice because it pushes daylight back into the room.
