A five-piece door is built from two stiles, two rails and a centre panel, which gives it the framed, joinery-made look of a traditional wardrobe. Ours are made to measure from moisture-resistant MDF in our London workshop and finished in your chosen colour.
Because the frame is genuinely separate from the panel, a five-piece door carries crisp shadow lines that a pressed door cannot quite match, and it takes a painted finish beautifully. It is the natural choice for a shaker wardrobe in a period house, and it works with classic and contemporary handles alike. The doors hang on hinged, loft and over-bed wardrobes, and the same construction is used for matching bedsides and dressing tables.
